On Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, Valerie Merrick Yaggi (Val, or “Yaya” to her family), 79, former teen fashion model; Columbus, Ohio’s “Bean Queen”; devoted and loving wife; adored mother and grandmother; dedicated and generous friend; social butterfly; fun-loving extrovert with a hilarious sense of humor; feminist, ally, and advocate for equality; bibliophile and reading teacher; psychic enthusiast; her granddaughters’ “favorite person in the world”; long-time resident of Madison, CT and more recently Fort Myers, Florida, passed away at her residence in Guilford, CT.
